Michel Nassar is Of Counsel in the international arbitration and litigation practice of SAAS Lawyers | Avocats, based in the firm's Paris office. His practice covers commercial, investment, construction, energy and intellectual property disputes.
He advises and represents private and public clients — including States, sovereign entities and prominent families in the Gulf region — in ICC, ICSID, DIFC, BCCI and ad hoc proceedings, and has acted as counsel and co-counsel in international and domestic arbitrations across the commercial, construction, corporate, intellectual property and agricultural sectors.
Michel also acts in litigation connected with arbitration, providing continuous support from pre-litigation advice through to exequatur and enforcement, and has appeared before the Paris courts in proceedings concerning the recognition and enforcement of international awards.
Alongside his disputes practice, Michel advises on transactional and corporate matters, in particular for companies expanding abroad: navigating foreign legal systems, structuring cross-border operations and securing the regulatory authorisations their projects require. He has advised, among others, a foreign media group.
Prior to joining SAAS Lawyers, Michel practised in Paris and Beirut, in the arbitration teams of the Paris offices of DLA Piper and Winston & Strawn.
