Experience:
- Chaired an ICC Tribunal in Paris in a dispute related to the sale of crude oil, involving issues of Public International Law.
- Acted as legal adviser to the Lebanese governmental Task Force on Petroleum, drafting the law and regulations governing Lebanon’s Petroleum Sovereign Fund.
- Advised a Spanish-Lebanese consortium during the public procurement process for a power station in Lebanon and on a related potential ICSID claim thereafter.
- Advised the same consortium on a potential ICSID claim arising from the procurement process.
- Provided legal advice to an Indian client during the public procurement process for a power station in Lebanon, including review of tender conditions and general conditions of contract.
- Delivered a comprehensive legal opinion on contractual issues for the same Indian client.
- Advised Lebanese authorities on the establishment of a Petroleum Sovereign Fund.
- Advised on the restructuring of a French company in the renewable energy sector.
- Supported a service provider in the electricity sector in negotiations to secure MIGA’s coverage for its contract with Lebanese authorities.
- Reviewed contractual documentation and providing several legal opinions for the same service provider.
- Advised a service provider in the electricity sector on financing negotiations with a European bank.
