Ralph Charbel is Counsel in the Sports Law practice at SAAS Lawyers | Avocats. He advises and represents players, clubs, coaches, agents, and federations from over thirty countries before national and international sporting bodies, including FIFA, CAS, FIBA, CEV and the UAE and Lebanese Sports Arbitration Centers. Ralph has also served as Director of Legal Affairs for four Lebanese Premier League football clubs and has contributed to drafting procedural rules, governance codes, and ethics frameworks for various sports federations. He is a visiting lecturer in top Sports Law programs, frequently provides commentary for international media and serves as an Arbitrator at the Lebanese Arbitration Center for the Settlement of Sports Disputes. He was also a Rapporteur Member of the Legal Committee of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, further strengthening his expertise in sports governance. He began his career in Paris at Moyersoen Avocats and has participated in international congresses on sports law, including the IBA Annual Conference and UIA Sports Law Congress.
Author of World Sports (2018) and Football and Football Law (2022), the first Lebanese publication on Sports Law. Served as Editor-in-Chief of Middle East Sports Law (2020–2024), the first trilingual Sports Law journal and platform in the Middle East.
